  • I have been following your blog for a couple weeks now. Congratulations on your new site. I looked at it quickly and I really like it. It is simple and professional looking and also informative. I am going to Bookmark it for sure.

  • Just saw your comment on my blog. Figured I would reply here. Would love to exchange links with you. Would you mind calling it the "Ottawa Information & SBI Blog"? Let me know what you want yours to be referred to as.

    Cheers!

  • Very nice job on the content and the ads fit in very nicly.

Now you need good traffic. Not just lots of traffic but good traffic. Traffic exchange programs work best when you get lot of different people and not too many mindless click throughs. When you pick a program see if they have other pages like yous.

    Good luck.

  • For Traffic Exchange Click Programs to work, sites need advertising clicks, searches and comments. Advertisers need traffic that spends a moment to see their ads and clicks on ads to give sales impressions. This will develop sales over time.

Do unto others as you wish done for you!

What kind of traffic do you want for your site? Be that kind of traffic for others.

If you do not like the site, just click on to the next site.

If you find the site well constructed and at all interesting, take a moment to read a bit, click on an ad, make a comment, do a search. In short be the traffic you want sent to your site. If more of us do that the entire system benefits.

Mindless click through traffic is worthless to the site, to the advertiser and to the traffic exchange site operators. That kind of traffic is worthless to your site. Do not be that kind of traffic.

If we all work together, traffic exchange is a very profitable means of advertising, but it has to be done right.

    Good Luck

    George

  • Hi Tara, just dropping you a line from the UK to say that I love your dog site, it is a very good looking and professional site so well done. I have been writing an affiliate marketing blog for a couple of weeks now, I hope you have a look at it if you get the time. You can find it here. Cheers!!

  • Good looking site there. There's one thing that I'm not sure of here, but I seem to remember that for SE optimization, having the navigation bar to the left helps. Since spiders search from left to right. So the first thing they'll see is your google ads instead of your navigation wich has keywords relevant to your site. I can't confirm this though I'll have to go re-check the info to confirm.

  • Hi Tara,

I am very impressed with your dog site. Good job!

This is my first visit to your blog. I saw the link on Jonny Q's blog. I added your blog to my Yahoo.

I am hoping that my first affiliate site looks as nice as yours. My site will be available in a couple of weeks I hope.

  • First of all, thank you for all the wonderful comments you've all left about the new dog site. When I'm having a day where things don't seem to be going right, those comments truly make me feel great. Of course, I can't take credit for the "look" of the site, that was a template - but the content is all mine, and so when you like the content, that's just me ;)

To Kieron - I've been reading your blog probably from just about the beginning. I think it's great, keep it up, it's nice to hear from someone who's doing really well at this. (I wouldn't mind having to pay as much in taxes as you did - it would mean I could afford to! lol)

To Chipman - When I do BE or BC I do read the blogs that interest me - you should see the size of my feed reader. I don't tend to leave comments very much, but perhaps in my next blitz (I'm out of BE credits) I shall.

To Jean-Rene - Salut from a fellow Canadian. An English one, mais une qui parle francais :) Merci for all your great comments, they are appreciated. As for your SEO trick, I've actually heard the opposite. The navigation was originally on the left, but from what I understand you want it on the right. And the SE's don't see Adsense since it's javascript. If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone smarter than me will point it out. I got that though from a friend who talks to LOTS of AM'ers, including a Martell protege, Colin M :) I trust her.

To Nick - Thank you! I know the space on My Yahoo is limited (mine is so overloaded) so that's a huge complement. If you have a blog or would like to chat about AM, please feel free to drop me a line any time. support AT a1-travel-accessories DOT com. And I look forward to seeing your first site, please let me know when it's ready!

To Mellow Yellow, Rocky Moore, Blueeyes and Deek Deekster - you are right, BC isn't as good, and I don't like the repeats either. I'll still use it though as I find the credits add up faster.

    I think that's everyone, if I missed you, I'm sorry :(

Keep up the comments everyone - and please, feel free to link to your blog or website - just don't spam me, k? I will delete spam comments.

    Tara :)
